Bicycles for Zambia (€95)

Savings of 100km per month in car for a year allows a Zambian to enjoy a first basic and ideal transport

An industrial bakery (€25.000)

In partnership with Ex-Change, we start up a project of an industrial bakery to create a profitable business to fund our projects in Zambia.

Seeds and fertilizer for women clubs   (€3.000)

In preparation for the 2010 season we are seeking the funds necessary to plant corn in October 2009 and buy fertilizer. The funds are loaned to the club of 30 women. The amount needed per club is € 3,000.

Dispensary at Kalola (€2.500)

It is a small building to enable a qualified person to treat the small medical problems of the inhabitants of Kalola voluntarily.

Construction of a forge at Kayooba (€2.500)

These are the funds needed to startup a forge with all the required equipments. The blacksmith want to share and train young people (especially orphans) from his village.

Houses for medical staff (€6.700)

The construction of houses to accommodate the medical staff is essential for a support by the Ministry of Health of the health center. This support will ensure the sustainability of the project by ensuring that staff will be paid and that the center will receive the medicines they need to function. A budget of € 6700 is required per house.

The dispensary Munyeu, completed in 2008, affecting a population of 5,000 people who currently have no access to health care. We need to build two houses for medical staff.

We must also build three houses for hospital Muntemba.

Maternity Mwachisompola

In partnership with the Association Femmes d’Europe aisbl we are expanding the rural clinic of Mwachisompola by adding a separate maternity. To be supported by the authorities, a house to accommodate a nurse and his family should also accompany this maternity. Any kind of help is welcome.

Vehicles (€19.000)

The purchase of vehicles is vital to transportation, coordination and monitoring of projects in Zambia.

The increasing number of construction projects, makes buying a truck indispensable. A budget of € 11,500 is required.

We also wish to acquire a new car (pick-up) to facilitate the coordination of projects and volunteers. Budget € 7.500.

We were able to conclude an agreement setting a price of € 2800 per well. This includes the drilling and installation of hand pump. We have already received requests for more than 10 wells.

Motorized mills (€3.500)

A motorized mill in a village saves a woman long walk distances to grind their grain and generates income for the community.

The total cost of installing a motorized grinder in a village is € 3500.

This amount includes the purchase and transport of the mill (€ 3,200) and construction of a small building to house it (€ 300). We currently have five requests from our villages.
